Rev Gabriel Ansah, who hosts some religious programs on Joy FM said if Powers is claiming that his pastor has cautioned him against the April 18 figth he has every right to pull out.

The boxer who until Thursday, March 27 had been trumpeting his readiness to beat his opponent to pulp shockingly announced he was no longer going to fight.

He said the Holy Spirit had revealed to his pastor, Prophet TB Joshua that April 18 2014 was not a good day to fight.

He had only few days before his shocking revelation been delivered of some demonic attacks by the prophet.

His announcement has provoked lots of anger from the public who were waiting anxiously for the bout. Some are questioning why he did not consult his prophet before signing on to the bout.

But speaking with Joy News Rev Gabriel Ansah said it does not matter  the timing of a revelation.

He said pastors can have revelations earlier or later; their responsibility is to let the persons about whom the revelations have been made to know.

He said the human being is made up of body soul and spirit, and at every point in time man must be ready to listen to the spirit.

He said it doesn’t matter how close the bout is, if Powers has received a revelation not to fight, he must listen to the spirit but ready to bear the consequences.

He cited instances where, highlife musician now turned man of God- Ofori Amponsah had to cancel a show at the last hour just because he received a calling from God at that late hour.

According to him, Amponsah is still paying the debts that came as a result of his failure to honour a contract he signed to perform.
